a good explanation of business , enjoyed the case studies
The discussions were great and allowed you to express what you had learned from each chapter.
All the information was very valuable and helpful.
I feel this was a very well organized class schedule and i believe she was extremely fair with the opportunity
of turning work in late.
Instructor feedback was provided quickly allowing students to use that information before the next
assignment was due.

Comments
I would definitely recommend this class!
Professor Gifford held a live chat that and we had a chance to see other online students. It was nice to have

Which component of the course did you find most valuable?

The book, the videos attached in D2L, and the case studies we had to do.
Reading the book was very valuable to me. I was able to read it and retain the information. The weekly
modules gave me and idea of what to focus on for the tests. The projects were great to be able to gain a
different way to think about things.
Each week we were to read a chapter of the book, but the professor notes and videos that were posted in
the weekly tabs were appreciated and valuable. They were right to the point and clarified the questions I
had from reading the book.
Discussion boards

Which component of the course did you find least valuable?

The professor couldn't spell at all, so the course material she would include on D2L was full of typos, which
was frustrating when trying to read it and almost every sentence had a typo. She couldn't even spell
manager....she spelled it "manger" on multiple occasions. It was frustrating because these are important
words in a business course.
Some of the videos or articles were hard to find once you got to the website. It was like the information was
hidden in the page.
The only thing that didn't necessarily so much for the class was the format our papers were to be written in
(APA Style), but that wasn't too difficult to work with.

Comments
This course was one of the easiest courses I've ever taken at HACC. All the material closely mirrored my
management class that I was taking at the same time. Yes, I did learn stuff in this class, but all of the
coursework, quizzes, discussion posts, and case studies/projects could have been done without the book. I
read the book because I wanted to learn for my own personal growth. This class is an easy A but I don't
believe it properly prepared me to transfer and fully understand aspects of business that I need to
understand for my major.
This class helped me decide for sure that online learning is something that I want to do. I was very unsure
about how I would handle doing school work again after being out of school for 5 years, but this class
helped elevate those fears.
Professor Gifford is extremely fair and considerate to her students. She gave additional notes on
assignments for those who needed it. We had plenty of time to finish larger assignments, and great
feedback and comments on them. I appreciate knowing why points are taken off, and she would let us
know, and actively participate in weekly discussion boards. If she felt you knew the content of the
chapter/projects and didn't type it correctly, she would still give credit.
Mrs. Gifford is a wonderful teacher. Her assignments and content for each week are very clear and concise
along with her notes. I would recommend her as the teacher to have when taking Business 101

There were remnants and dates of a leftover course in there that made the calendar a bit confusing.

Comments
The professor was my favorite this semester. In fact, I registered for another virtual course this summer with
that professor!
