As a result of this lesson, students will be able to:
The children were to think about what they would do on a cold wet night to keep warm. They then had to share with a
partner, close their eyes and think about it and then write in their journals. i then helped the students to spell.
Overall my mentor teacher Cath was happy with their writing. I found many wrote a lot while some such as Isaiah
only wrote a few words. He seems to be hard to keep on task.
My own performance I believe could have been better in some ways, such as addressing the class to write the
beginning sentence on the board before we started to write.

Children are to take out their books and start their sentences with on a cold
wet night remind students to start sentences with a capital letter, finish
with a full stop.
I will also be looking out for proper finger spacing and very neat writing.
Students to write in their journal and to be finished by 11. Those who finish
are to sit in partners on the mat somewhere knee to knee and read their
stories to each other. When finished they are to find another partner.

Choose two neat stories to be read to the class. Point out creativity and
neatness.
