including 90 minutes a day
for synchronous online instruction with the teacher
and peers.
Requirements:
Students who register for an FCPS online course must have the required
resources and should
complete the technology checklist available at
http://onlinecampus.fcps.edu/media2/orientation
/tech_checklist_ss/orient.htm before Friday, July 1, 2016. Students will not be able
to access and fully
complete online courses using iPads, iPhones, Blackberries,
Smart Phones, and tablets. Currently, Macs
are not supported in FCPS. However,
students do use Macs to take online courses. Students need to
complete the
technology checklist to insure their computer can assess all parts of the online course.

Students are responsible for monitoring their time and completing assignments according
to the schedule in
order to be successful. Students should plan to spend 6-8 hours per
day to complete course work.
Requirements:
Internet connection (DSL, LAN, or cable connection desirable), account access to
FCPS 24/7, the latest version of
Flash must be installed on student computer, students must provide a valid email for self
and for
parent/guardian, students will not be able to access and complete
course using iPads, iPhones, Blackberries,
smart phones and tablets. Macs are not
supported on FCPS. However, students do use Macs to take online
courses.
