From: Abp. Antonio Ledesma, SJ
Re:
Pastoral Assignments (June 2016 May 2019)
After several consultations, I am happy to announce the new pastoral assignments for
the next three years. The movement to new assignments should be done during the last week
of May.
The Endorsement Papers for the Turn-Over of Parishes and Chaplaincies should be
duly accomplished for the formal turn-over from outgoing to incoming parish priest. This
should be witnessed by parish council leaders and the Vicar Forane or a representative of the
Archbishop.
I would like to thank all outgoing parish priests and parochial vicars for their past
contributions to the life and evangelization of our local church communities. At the same time,
I welcome them to their new assignments in the Lords vineyard. Regardless of station, we all
share the mission of tending one flock and working in the name of one Shepherd.

Note: Designated sub-parishes are still part of the mother parish. Only one set of parish books
should be kept in the mother parish. The parish priest and parochial vicar(s) should
engage in team ministry in preparing the sub-parish to become an autonomous
chaplaincy and eventually an independent parish. Parochial vicars should be full-time or
at least part-time residents in the convento of the mother parish in order to build
community life among the priests.
