Lena

Younger is the mother to Beneatha and Walter. She is a widow, which is how she got the
insurance money left from her husband, who passed away. Mrs. Younger is a loving mother,
who use to live in the Southside of Chicago. Where she lived with her family, Mr. Walter
Younger Jr., Lenas son; Mrs. Ruth Younger, Walter's wife; Ms. Beneatha Younger, Lenas
daughter; and Travis Younger, Walter and Ruths son. Lena Younger understands that ther
family has dreams and she has to let them find a way to reach them. She gives them a little
push and support on their dreams. Shes a caring mother, with dreams for herself. Lena
Younger has recently taken time off from work to rest up. Ms. Younger is around the age to
retire so having the insurance money left has helped her move that big family of hers and take
them to Clybourne Park. To a new, safe, and bigger home. A dream of Mrs. Younger for herself
and her family. Do you know how it feels for your dream to be deferred? Unfortunately Mrs.
Younger does; before their move, Mr. Karl Linder made a couple of visits to the Southside of
Chicago to visit Ms. Lena Younger at her apartment. Where she was not present at the
moment, but Walter, Beneatha, and Ruth were. Mr. Walter Younger Jr. took over this family
business. Being the reason of Mr. Karla Linders visit due to an interest of wanting to buy
back the recently purchased home form CPNA grounds. For racial reasons against African
American families living in a white neighborhood. Do you know how it feels to be a raisin in the
sun?
As Mr. Walter Younger Jr. is going to testify the day Mr. Karl Linder went to the South
side being interested in buying the house from Mrs. Lena Younger. We will also have witness

from Beneatha Younger and Mrs. Ruth Younger, who were present when Mr. Karl Linder came
to see Mrs. Younger. The Younger family will testify this date in complete description. Mr.
Walter Younger has brought evidence for this case.
Other than that as the 14th amendment states All persons born or naturalized in the
United States, which included former slaves recently freed. In addition, it forbids states from
denying any person "life, liberty or property, without due process of law" or to "deny to any
person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. (14th Amendment w
ww.loc.gov
).
So if the 14th amendment says that everyone has equal protection, why should a couple of
racist people forbid a lady from moving into her
own
property? The 14th amendment states that
each and every individual citizen from the U.S. is given the same rights as the rest. Which is
something that CPNA has done unfairly. President Kennedy stated This nation was founded
by many nations and backgrounds. It was founded by every principle that
all
men are created
equal and that
all
men are diminished and the rights of another man to be threatened. For
american students of any color to attend any public institution without having to back up by
truths. (President Kennedy Civil Rights speech/Brown V. Board of education video). If one of
our Presidents says that everyone is equal and this nation is built by many backgrounds; why
shouldnt any background be given the right to live in any property where one was part of
building this nation.
Throughout this case Mr. Karl Linder was supposedly offering to buy back the recently
purchased house from Mrs. Younger. Which isnt completely wrong, but the reason why Mr.
Karl wanted to buy this house was for a different reason. Mr. karl supposedly was there part of
the Clybourne Park Improvement Association. Who went to invite them to a welcoming
committee. Which was not fully the reason why he was there, but to judge and insult the
Younger family, in a respectful matterer as Mr. Karl might say. Claiming that Clybourne park

community is made up of hard-working citizens who dont have much other than those little
homes and dreams. Last time I recalled the Younger family are hard-working people, to the
point where even Mrs. Younger still works in her house, while cleaning others. Should I
mention that shes in the age to retire. Work is work right? While completing her dream to
moving into a big and peaceful community. To start in a new place, with new dreams, just like
everyone else in the neighborhood; as Mr. Karl might say. Her children are full of dreams and
shows the love Mrs. Younger has to move them to a stable place where her childrens and
grandchildren's dreams can become true. Mrs. Younger daughter is studying to be a doctor in
college, while Mr. Younger Jr. finding a way to open his own business. So why should they
move out of there? Mr. Karl kept insisting for them to move to a new place where it will be
comfortable, or in shorter terms with their own people. Comfortable for who? The Youngers
or the white folks living in Clybourne Park? The Youngers follow all the requirments to live in
this community, so why should race be a factor?
Mr. Karl Linder and CPNA believes a that Clybourne Park is a place where hard working
people live in peace. As they may recall, white folks. Failing to obey the 14th amendment. With
the evidence and witness, Mrs. Younger is suing Mr. Karl Linder and CPNA for judging her
family, while violating her civil rights. Which is why the Youngers are standing up to this date to
protect their own family, their race, and rights! Thank you for listening your honor and jury.
