The production cost and selling price of each ton is Rs. 35,000/- and Rs. 60,000/respectively. Any unsold ton of product is disposed off at a loss of Rs.5,000/- per
ton. There is penalty of not meeting Rs.2,000/- per ton for not meeting the
demand. Determine the total profit or loss based on simulation run for 10 days
using the following random numbers: Random numbers: 14, 23, 05, 91, 87, 59,

The customer arrival at the service station is a random phenomenon and the time
between arrivals varies from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. The service time varies
from 05 minutes to 30 minutes. The queuing process begins at 9 AM and
proceeds for nearly 8 hours. An arrival goes to the service facility immediately, if
it is free. Otherwise it has to wait in a queue. Determine the (i) Average queue
length (ii) Average waiting time of a customer before service (iii) Average service
time based on simulation study using the following random numbers.
Random numbers for inter-arrival time: 20, 73, 30, 99, 66, 83, 32, 75, 04, 15

Inventory carrying cost per unit per day = Rs.2
Stock in hand at the beginning of this simulation exercise is 25 units. You are
required to carry out simulation run over a period of 10 days with the objective of
evaluating the the rule : Order 20 units when present inventory plus outstanding
order falls below 20 units.
The sequence of random numbers to be used in simulation is
25, 37, 65,76, 12, 05,71,83, 19, 44.Your calculation should include the total cost
of operating this inventory rule for 10 days.
