The assignment:

After discussing the Inca and their “writing” system the student is to write a short story.
The story can be of any subject or length. The story should be a few paragraphs in
length. After the story is complete the student is to make a quipus using their own coding
system. The code should be simple and easy to remember. After the class is done with
the assignment everyone can share their story. The students should only use the quipus
as the guide to retelling the story.
