2) Click File menu from top of your screen and click new file option from the
menu list as shown Figure 2.

3) Then a small dialogue box appears as shown in Figure 3. Select part from
the list and click OK. Then a default part with name part1 is opened.

4) Select Generative Shape Design from menu as shown in Figure 4.

5) Then select Helix tool from the toolbar as shown in Figure 5.

6) A Helix Curve Definition dialogue box appears on the screen. Right click
on Starting Point and a drop down men appears from which select “ Create
Point” as shown in Figure 6.

7) A new point definition dialogue box appears on screen.
a) Select “On plane” from Point type drop down menu.
b) Right click on Plane and select “yz plane” from the drop down list.
c) Set H to 0mm.
d) Set V to 30 mm.
e) Click OK as shown in Figure 7.

8) Once again Helix Curve Definition dialogue box appears.
a) Right click on Axis and select Y Axis.
b) Set Pitch to 5 mm.
c) Set Height to 100 mm.
d) Select OK as shown in Figure 8.

9) Helix curve line is now created as shown in Figure 9.

10) Select Sweep tool from tool bar as shown in the figure 10.

11) Then “Swept Surface Definition” dialogue box appears.
a) Select “Profile type” as circle.
b) Select “Subtype” as center and radius from the drop down menu.
c) Set “Center curve” as helix.1 by clicking the helix which you can
see in background.
d) Set “Radius” to 1mm.
e) Click OK button as shown in Figure 11.

12) Now the helix spring is ready as shown in Figure 12.
