Requirements: (80 mark)

1. Basic router configuration


 Subnet calculation
 Host name
 Password = cisco for enable mode and vty mode
 Disable DNS lookup
 Synchronous logging
 Fast ethernet interface
2. Configuration Frame Relay using subinterface
 The PVC between R1 and R2 has DLCI = 102 and 201
 The PVC between R1 and R3 has DLCI = 103 and 301
 LMI type=cisco
 Frame Relay encapsulation type = cisco
3. Install OSPF on R1 , R2 and R3 using area 0 process ID = 1
4. Install static route for the Internet access
5. Configuration each router as the DHCP server to allocate dynamically IP address for each Lan
respectively . First ten IP address are not assigned to clients.
6. Configure extended numbered ACL to
 Block on traffic from Lan1 , Lan2 and Lan4 to access Lan3 and the internet
 Block on traffic from Lan3 to access Lan1 , Lan2 and Lan4
 Allow traffic from Lan3 to access the internet only
 Traffic from Lan1 , Lan2 and Lan4 are allowed to access each others
7. All traffic from Lan3 to internet should be translate to the public IP address 200.200.200.1/30

Requirement : (optional – 20 mark)

1. Cabling a second point – to – point path between R1 and R3 using serial interface s0/1/0 and
s0/0/1 respectively . The network address for this link will be the next network address of above
range
 Configure this link using technology
 Configure CHAP , username will be the hostname of other router , password = ciscoppp
 Configure this link as the backup path for traffic among Lan1 , Lan2 and Lan4
Static routes from/to these Lans will be used in case of failure of PVC
2. The web server in Lan3 will be accessible from the Internet with the permanant public IP address
200.200.200.3/28
3. Any client from Lan1,2,4 should be only allow to access web server in Lan3 with its private
address
4. Only host 172.16.0.4 can telnet to any routers/swiches and any kinds of traffic from this host will
be allow.
