• Always adjust the controls before
starting so you can keep both hands on
the handlebars while riding.

• The unit is designed to be water resistant

and dew-proof, but not to be used in
water or to be sprayed with a hose.

 ,. If the controller of the face plate gets
soiled, wipe it with a soft cloth which
has first been soaked in a solution of
GASOLINE rHlNNER BENZINE
neutral detergent and wrung.
Organic solutions such as gasoline,
thinner and benzine should never be
. used as they may damage the surface.

.. If water or dirt gets into receptacle for

the control unit plug, an operating
defect or a failure may occur. Also, if
the pins in the plug are bent, they will
no longer provide proper contact.

• Adjust the volume to a level that is

not distracting. Refrain from listening
at an increased volume continuously
for a long time.

• This unit is designed only for a 12VDC

negative ground motorcycle. Never
connect it to a 24VDC or positive
ground motorcycle.

Increased volume of the radio increases
the power consumption. When listening
with the engine stopped, reduce the
volume as far as possible.
• Adjustable loudness intercom enabling
communication between rider and
passenger.

1 Use this equipment only on a 12VDC
negative ground power source.
2 Observe that this unit is properly and
securely connected to 40 channel
CB antenna such as the genuine
HONDA CB antenna.

 HOW TO LISTEN TO CB

Push the Power Switch to turn 011.

Rotate the SQUELCH control all the

way counterclockwise. Now hissing sound
should be heard. In this condition, the RX
indicator will light.

Rotate the SQUELCH control slowly

clockwise until the background noise just
disappears. At this point, the CB receiver
will be quiet (the RX indicator turns off)
and allows the radio Icassette player heard
through the headset (of both the rider and
the passenger) but an incoming CB call will
overcome the squelch action and be heard
while eliminating the sound from the
radiol cassette player.
However this is only when the radio/
cassette player and CB are in same
listening mode.
If radio/cassette player and CB select
different modes (for example, HS
mode for the former and SP mode for
the latter, or vice versa), it matters
only whether or not the CB sound is
output. In this case, the radio/cassette
output cannot be changed into CB
sound output.

To transmit, press the TALK button

on the handlebar and hold it in position.
Release the button to receive. Speak in
a normal manner like as speaking into a
telephone. Release the button to receive.

the press-talk button on the assist bar and
speak. Release to receive.
Note • During transmitting, the sound
from the radiol cassette player is deacti-
vated. The loudness of the voice from the
rider or passenger (or both simultaneously)
is adjustable with the H. S. VOL control.
