A window is a rectangular area on the desktop


which usually contains a number of standard parts.
Title Bar – displays the name of the document and program.
Minimize, Maximize, and Close Button – this buttons hide the window, enlarge it to
fill the screen, and close it.
Menu Bar – contains items that you can click to make choices in a program.
Scroll Bar – let’s you scroll the contents of the window to see information that is
currently out of view.
Toolbars – provide shortcuts to menu commands. Generally located below
the menu bar.

Standard Toolbar – is used to manipulate your document

Formatting Toolbar – its specific purpose is to change the outlook of your


document text when you apply it.
