Welcome to the 3DS MAX MATERIAL, RENDERING, ATMOSPHERES & EFFECTS
course.
The following information is to help you see the structure of the course you are about to
undertake and to keep check of your progress by means of a LOG BOOK.
Take your time and enjoy and remember to repeat sections if you don’t fully understand.
COURSE
The course is aimed at exploring the areas of LIGHTING, ATMOSPHERES, RENDERING
EFFECTS, MATERIALS and the various options that are available when RENDERING.
The course is aimed at people who have already progressed through the 3DS MAX
INTRODUCTION course and may have completed any of the other MAX modules.
TYPE OF COURSE
The course is designed around a series of four tutorials, each containing exercises which
must be completed in order, as can be seen in the LOG BOOK. Also there are four
assignments which involve more complex tasks, these must also be completed in order. It
is extremely important that work is constantly saved and backed up.
SOFTWARE NEEDED
3DS MAX 6 or higher.
LENGTH
The course is designed to be approximately 30 hours.
