DISTRIBUTION BOARDS Miniature circuit breaker distribution boards shall be provided to serve lighting Circuits, ‘small power outlets and/or as otherwise specified on the Sub-Contract Drawings. The number of way shown on the Sub-Contract Drawings shall be provided Al wiring, busbars, etc. within the distribution boards shall be screened behind a & 5mm thick flame retardant insulating shield. Only the M.C.B. operating dolly and insulated body shall project through the shield Connection blocks used for branching live feed cables inside distibution boards shall include one insulated support, brass connection blocks with removable anti- shear plates to enable cables to be connected without cutting, if necessary and preferably t be fixed on DIN rails. The rating ofthe connection blocks shall be not less than the tating of the incoming circuit breaker. Bakelite Insulated i) connectors used shall be PUB-approved type. Comb busbars are permitted for use in disteibution boards for residential premises only. It shall also be restricted to single-phase distribution boards and hott not exceed 100A rating. PSB certification of the comb busbar current ra ing shall be submitted.
