EXPERIMENT NO:

AIM: TO STUDY AND OBSERVE WAVEFORMS OF HALFWAVE, CENTRETAP

AND BRIDGE RECTIFIER.

(1) HALF WAVE RECTIFIER

COMPONENTS:

• Signal generator(-230v/230v, 50Hz)

• Transformer(10to1)

• Diode

• Resistor(1k)

• Probe tool

CIRCUIT:

Follow the steps shown below to draw the circuit.....

• StartProgramscircuitmaker6.

• Go to the following path to find the required components.

1. DevicesBrowseGeneralInstrumentsSignal Generator.

2. DevicesBrowseGeneralResistor(1k)

3. DevicesBrowseGeneralDiode.

4. DevicesBrowseTransformersubcircuitTrans2(10to1).

5. To change the value of any device double click on it.

6. Select Probe tool to plot analog data and set run time test points as
shown in figure by green circle. Set it to TRAN ANALYSIS MODE as
shown below.

OUTPUT:

• To run the circuit select SimulationRun or press F10 or click on on

main toolbar.

• Two Output windows will appear as shown in figure.

⋅ one window will show the waveforms.

⋅ Another window will show the voltage at that point.

⋅ If we change the location of probe tool output will be changed

accordingly.
