Exterior Perspectives

LOBBY
// The thatched roof is inspired by traditional South African houses.
The walls are mud walls so that the exterior blends with the sur-
rounding nature. Most of the interior space is open to the outside to
ensure better indoor air quality and air circulation. In contrast to the
traditional style, the roof is supported by a repetition of beams that
give dynamic and modern feel to the interior.
Waiting Area
LOBBY

Decorations and interior accents are influenced by graphics and

colors that represent the South African so as to embrace the history
of their culture: the Rainbow Nation.
Suite Villa
The interior space is influenced by the culture of the South
Africa. The idea is to let the guests feel the unique Afri-
can culture, and have a comfortable stay in Vrede Villas.
To maximize comfort, contemporary furniture pieces are
placed in the interior space.
Multi-Function Area

The multi-function area dome is inspired by the tradition Zulu’s

Beehives” house. Similar to the traditional homes, the dome roof will be a hatched roof, and the interior ceil-
ing will have a repetition of wood circling the perimiter of the dome. The ceIling will have a dramatic effect with
lights, and will create a dimmed ambience.

The support is bent wood following the shape of the dome. It will improve the air circulation as outdoor air will
be able to pass through to the interior space.
