I. Introduction
A. Hooks-
1. Think of a time when you were in a car and you see
someone on their phone texting in a different car.
Do you plan on doing this while driving?
2. According to Bill Hendrick a writer for WebMD,
researches found that over half the population of
America are texting while driving. In 2007 67% of
accidents were caused by texting behind the wheel.
Researchers suspect that this will go up 4% each
year.

B. Thesis Statement – Today I am going to discuss why I am

against texting and driving and why I
think
you should be too.

A. How many people text & drive
1. As I said before – 50% U.S. text & drive
2. All ages text not just teens
3. illegal?
