The Continuing Engineering Education Centre (CEEC), state-of-the art facility at NWFP UET offers
professional courses to enhance knowledge and skills of in-service engineers and professionals to

USING GIS AND REMOTE SENSING FOR DISASTER PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
Course Contents: Visualizing data required for Security/Disaster Planning operations, Preparing
disaster scenario maps and warning reports, Preparing, Locating and Protecting Critical
Infrastructure, Locate and Protect Impacted Population, Shelter Planning, Preparing Disaster
Response and Recovery strategies using GIS and Google Earth.

COMPUTER-AIDED BUILDING DESIGN AND MODELING
Course Contents: Preparing Architectural/Structural Drawings using CAD, 3D Visualization,
Creating animated walk-through, Development of construction schedules/estimates using CAD
models, Sustainability analysis
Starting Date: June 26 - July 7, 2009 (4:00 pm - 9:00 pm)
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Course Contents: Tools and Techniques for effective project planning, project monitoring and control,
Developing Effective Planning Commission Reports (PC1, PC2 and PC3), Computer aided
Construction Project Management using MS Project and Primavera.
