changes, Place the wheel so that the beam covers one
color wedge, but no more, Watch the spot that's pro-
Jected onto the wall or screen, Be sure, incidently, to
place the wheel off to one side of the beam, If the beam
strikes the center of the wheel the standwill block off
some of the light, Now, note that the beam and the spot
produced are first one color, then two colored, then
‘completely the second color, Move the color wheel fur-
ther away from the light source until thebeam covers
two wedges andno more, Now the spot and the beam are
‘two toned, half one color andhalfanother. As the wheel
revolves it will become tricolored, and then two color~
ed again, By moving the wheel closer to or further
away from the light source you can control the number
of colors in your spot at any one time,

can be used in front of a motion picture projector. If
you choose to mount the color wheel on an overhead
Projector mount it above the stage or in front of the

BOUNCING THE COLORED LIGKT BEAM
‘Train your colored Nght beam on a mirror and
watch it ricochet on to a wall or sereen, One mirror
surface will reflect the beam in one direction, Small
mirrors mounted on a flexible backing will chop the
beam up and toss it randomly about the room. For
patterned effects aim the beam at an Eémund mtrror=
fed ball, Spots of light will instantly fill the room, And
the spote will constantly change color,
‘The colored beam can be trained on 2 flexible
‘material such as aluminized mylar or highly polished
aluminum fofl, As the foil 1s manipulated, flexed, and
stretched smoke-Iéke flashes of color will dart about
the room. The reflections can be projected onto walls
or onto front and rear screens,
