INTRODUCTION
>> Buoyancy force is the force acting upwards due to the pressure
caused by the fluid the opposes the weight of the object that is
placed on the fluid.

>> It is measured in terms of the buoyancy force and is measured

in terms of the net fluid displaced by the body.

>> buoyancy of a fluid depends upon many factors such as surface

tension acting on the body, volume of the fluid and dimensions of
the body being immersed in the fluid.
CALCULATION
Wooden block = 25%
ρgV = 6400 (1/4) Vt
1600 Vt
Air = 75%
ρgV = (1)(9.81)(3/4) Vt
=7.3575 Vt
ρ total = 1600 Vt + 7.3575 Vt
= 1607.36 Vt

Assume weight,
mman = 80 kg
mshoes = 3.5 kg
mman + mshoes = 83.5 kg
ρair g Vin = mg + 1607.3 Vt
1000(9.81)Vin = 83.5(9.81) + 1607.36 Vt
Vin = (3/5) Vt ,

1000(9.81)(3/5) Vt = 819.135 + 1607.36 Vt

5886 Vt = 819.135 + 1607.36 Vt

Vt = (819.135)/(4279)
= 0.19 m3
FLOATING SHOES DESIGN
MATERIALS USED
Balsa Wood
properties:
> low density
> lightweight
> hard
Air from surrounding
ADVANTAGES &
DISADVANTAGES
Advantages:
> not rusty
> easy to shape
> long lasting
> easy to find

Disadvantages:
> easy to rotten
CONCLUSION
 Rises to the surface of the fluid and floats when the average density of the
body is less than the density of the fluid.

 In our daily life we can see the ship. For floating bodies such as ships,
stability is an important consideration for safety.
