Because you can not measure these things i's not clear when they get damaged and so they are even more vulnerable.Architecture ‘The frst image that springs to my mind when thinking of fragile architecture is one ofa building with almost no ‘onstruction. A building existing of spaces rather then big structures and walls. No borders. It blends ino its env ronment in away that when the environment changes by rain or seasons the look, the meaning or the use ofthe building also changes. Even with more radical anes like those ofthe urban design it can adapt. This implies that ‘the architecture shouldbe ofthat kind that it's adaptive and flexible. In this way abullding can stay for decades. ‘50 while the look, meaning or use can be fragile for changes, the architecture is durable by Its flexibility.Emotions have a double link with fragility. Happ ‘ness for example is fragile on itself because it can ‘easily be destroyed or slip threw your fingers lke delicate sik. But emotions can also make us ‘humans fragile, is worst cases even physical.‘Thelink between our assignment and the themes of architecture and nature is clear as we have to design sustainable houses. Butall three of us also ‘thought about emotion and senses when asked ‘what fragility means to us. We think that i wil be interesting to explore the opportunities ofthis thied theme in our design.
