 BEFRIENDERS PENANG is a voluntary organization offering confidential emotional support service
for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to
suicide. Our service is free.

To get to know more about our service, you are cordially invited to attend “Talk, Preview,
Interview” session as follows:-

How to become a volunteer?

You need to be over 21 years old.
You do not need formal qualifications or previous experience, but a natural ability to listen and
remain open-minded is essential.
To get you fully prepared as a volunteer of BEFRIENDERS PENANG you are required to attend our
Recruitment Training sessions to learn more about self development and active listening.

* A small charge (RM80) will be levied to cover cost of rental of premises, printing & stationery and refreshments.
