Stack Height Calculation Stack height is calculated using following formula H = 14 (Q) 0.

3 H is height of Chimney Q = Quantity of fuel (kg/hr) x sulphur content (%) x 2 100 The sulphur content in the bagasse is negligible (around 0.1 %) as compared to Indian coal (maximum considered of 0.5%). Therefore the stack height will be calculated on the basis of coal. Coal will be mainly used in the off-season operation. Maximum quantity of coal that will be burned is 18.8 TPH. H = 14 (18800 x 0.5 x 2) 0.3 100 = 67.4 meters There fore the height of the stack will be 70 meters.
