A romantic story but full of worsensial and sorrow Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom, a King... who had been struggling so many times to have his citadel builded but failed. Finally, thank to supports of a Saint, a strong citadel was completed. The King also recevied a secret weapon (as a magic crossbow) from the Saint to protect his country from infantry chaos. One day, the peacefull life of the Kingdom was threatened by northen invaders. It is Trieu Das enemy. With the secret weapon, the King easily smashed the invaders and forced them to pull back. Bearing the hatred in mind, the enemy swore to avenge by a means to find out what is a magic secret to make them failure. To setup his plot, Trieu Da pretendedly sought agreement of peace with the King and proposed a fellowship on marriage between his son, Prince Trong Thuy and the Kings daughter, Princess Mi Chau. In a careless moment, the King agreed. Manipulating his wifes innocent, Trong Thuy managed his fathers dark intrigues to find out the secret of the weapon, then stole the secret weapon and replaced by a counterfeit. One day, Trong Thuy left Mi Chau to his home and handed over the secret weapon which he has stolen to his father. After having his son back with all important information he needed, Trieu Da mobilized his army for sudden attack. This time, the King brought the secret weapon to fight back to the enemy but the secret weapon was useless. The kingdoms army couldnt withstand the strongly attacking force like splitting bamboo of Trieu Da. The King desperately took his daughter, Princess Mi Nuong on the horseback and fled away to the seashore. Reaching the seashore, no way to go, the enemy is right behind, the King cried in vain. Suddenly the Saint appeared saying the real enemy is behind you. Looking back his daughter, the King began to realize that he was betrayed. He took out his sword beheading Mi Chau. Then, the Saint brought the king into the deep blue sea.

My Chau died under her father the Kings sword. Her blood flew into the sea and turned into pearls. Shes gone to Heaven and gone forever. Trong Thuy traced his wife and found the body of his beloved wife. Very much regrettable, he jumped into a well committing suicide to follow his wife. It has been said that,if pearls washed by water taken from this well where Trong Thuy suicided would be much brighter.
