STORAGE AND HANDLING
1. 2. 3. Adequate storage areas to be provided for the storage of materials and the required resources are provided. All the products are packed in appropriate and stored properly in corrugated boxes or on wooden pallets with proper identification. All products to be protected against direct sunlight, moisture or dust. Products shall not be stored directly under sunlight. Tarpaulin/ thick fabric can be used to cover the products. Products should not be stored near sources of Ozone generation such as Welding machines and electric generators. Care should be taken to avoid mechanical damage while lifting or shifting the product to the site. For shifting materials from stores push trolleys are used. Products are issued and used on FIFO basis.( FIRST IN FIRST OUT)

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
1. Before fitting, Wall must be clean and dry. If necessary remove all traces of grease and oil from wall surfaces using a good cleaning solvent.

After installation care should be taken to protect the surface finishes from damage during other work. Frequently clean with dry cloth to remove dirt and dust. Frequently clean with fresh air, water, soap water and diluted silicone emulsion with damp cloth /sponge. After washing gently wipe with dry cloth remove any remaining moisture. Dont use caustic soap, synthetic detergent, or bleach. Care should be taken to prevent excess moisture. Excess moisture will rust or stain the retainer. Clean with dry cloth and remove the moisture. Dont use any solvent base cleaner to clean the Rubber. After cleaning with water or silicone emulsion again clean with dry cotton cloth or Rubber sponge. Dont use coarse abrasives like sandpaper, steel wool or powdered abrasive cleaner scouring will leave scratch marks. Dont clean with mineral acids or salt solutions. Dont store any chlorine products near the Corner Guard. Dont use chloride base cleaning liquids such as bleach with GI retainer. Using these types of cleansers can permanently stain and corrode the metal surfaces. Dont use wire wool pads made of ordinary steel are totally unsuitable for GI retainer and Rubber as they will impair the self healing capability of the surfaces.
