Home: When it comes to my home I have a family of five. I have two younger brothers, one five and one eleven. My family is a very open family, which has shaped my personality and

how I view certain perspectives. Me and my mom read a lot of the same magazines, Cosmopolitan, is our favorite and we always discuss what we think about it afterwards. We also read some of the same novels, like the Twilight saga and the Harry Potter series, and also discuss those. My little brother has had a lot to do with my understanding of literature. I always read him books, and make different puzzles with him and hang the m on the wall. He always asks me questions about the books I read him, which sometimes I cant answer myself and leads me to my own questions. School: I went to high school at West Stokes, and most of my opinions about literature I picked up there. In all of my English classes we had to read about old literature, and then write about it. I believe this is why I hate non-fictional books, and papers. One of my least favorite pieces was the Canterbury Tales. I also took Spanish class in High School, which opened my mind to a new culture. I went to middle school at Chestnut Grove, and played in the band. I played the saxophone, and I loved it. Now whenever I hear classical music I always listen for the saxophone. In elementary school I went to Pinnacle elementary. The only thing I really remember from pinnacle was taking computer classes. This is when I learned how to use computers, which affect my life every day. Neighborhood / Community / Peers: I was born and raised in a small community, King N.C. In our small town the bible was a big deal. To a lot of people in king church is a huge part of life. Living around a whole lot of farmers and country folk, I learned how to talk and think like a true country girl. I also played sports in my small town, and therefore would read some of my guy friends sports magazines.

Work: I only had one job, a hooters girl, so I dont have too much to say. From this job I learned how to take the country girl side of me and put it aside when needed. I learned how to talk to business men, and I learned how to read many different types of people.
