Ngi mua tm kim s tho mn (sn phm lm h hi lng) hn l s mt mt (h phi tr tin) khi sn phm cho h nhiu hn l chi ph h phi tr. Ngi mua so snh nhng thun li v bt li ca vic mua hng da trn 2 "tiu ch": v chc nng (liu sn phm s tt/hot ng tt nh mong mun khng?" v v cm xc (liu sn phm c lm cho h cm thy tt hn khng?). Tiu ch v chc nng i vi s la chn ca ngi mua thng theo l tr. H thng t hi liu vic mua sn phm s gii quyt c vn ca mnh hay khng, s lm cho cuc sng ca h thoi mi hn, giu hn hay hu ch hn hay khng. iu ph hp vi c ngi mua hng cng nghip v hng tiu dng. phi thc hin li ha . Sn phm ca bn phi bn hoc chu ng c nhng tc ng khc nghit, khng b hng hc, khng b mc nt hay han g, khng b mt mu. Khi gii thiu ra th trng, sn phm ca bn phi thc s hon ho, khng t vt. Hn na, cht lng sn phm ca bn cn nht qun. Khng cho php bt k sn phm li no c th lt qua c h thng kim tra cht lng ca bn. Hin nay hu ht cc nh sn xut hin i thc hin vic kim tra cht lng hng ho gt gao hn. Phng thc "ngc dng" l cch gim st tng thi im m cc nh thu ph giao cc sn phm bn nguyn liu v ph tng.
