Vietnam in the future


After a quarter-century of war, Vietnam confronts problems of such magnitude that they seem to be insurmountable. But Vietnam still has grown up from this hard circumstance. There are many points of view about Vietnams future and they cause considerable debate about the economic future of Vietnam. There are two main points of view which are the most remarkable. They are optimists point of view and pessimists point of view. Pessimists focus on the country's inadequate physical infrastructure and its powerful state bureaucracy which makes doing business in Vietnam complex and difficult. They also point to ambiguities in Vietnam's evolving issues of corruption. Those obstacles are normally more than one. In contrast, there are many reasons to be optimistic about Vietnam and its economic in the future. First, Vietnam has the good fortune of having access to Pacific ports and being strategically and centrally located near China, India, and Indonesia, all among the world's largest countries. Those are potentially huge markets for possible Vietnamese exports. Second, with its knowledge traditions, Vietnam has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and human resource development. The country's overall

literacy rate is higher than in areas. Vietnamese students are performing well in the Scientific Olympics in areas. On several key educational indicators, Vietnam has equaled or surpassed many countries, despite having a much weaker educational infrastructure. Third, there are many foreign companies which are invested, have been opened in Vietnam recently. They develop continuously and expand unlimitedly. They provide solutions and services related to foreign science and technology. We can base on that to develop our own science and technology. The rapid expansion of their business relations with Vietnam prompting development in Vietnam. Moreover, Vietnam has its own rich human resource so the development is easier. Fourth, Vietnam has excellent tourism potential which is a valuable source of it .And it also benefits from substantial and increasing international remittances of overseas Vietnamese. Finally, the approval by the U.S. Congress of a trade agreement between two countries will provide Vietnam with greatly improved export access to the large U.S. markets for a wide variety of products. Today, Vietnam has been developing continuously. It always makes efforts to further contribute to the socio- economic development. We can believe in a brighter future in Vietnam.
