ARCH: COMPUTER APPLICATION IN ARCITECTURE -


COURSE DESCRIPTION The course is designed in a way that students will be exposed to the 3-dimensional world of computer aided design which is essential in understanding, visualizing and analyzing architectural projects. The course will be divided in two parts first part will start with the introduction of 3D tools in AutoCAD and later part of the first half will deal with modeling and rendering methods and techniques in 3D Studio Max. Second half will deal with Building Informal ion Modeling software's like Autodesk Revit and Autodesk architecture. Other software's like Google Sketch Up. Image Modeler etc will also be introduced to the students depending upon "time availability.

COURSE OBJECTIVES AND OUTCOMES

Students will be expected to understand 3d CAD software interface and software capabilities. Students will be expected to make 3 D architectural models. Students will be expected to make renderings of 3d-CAD models using 3d
Studio Max.

Students will be asked to work on Revit Architecture and make BIM models of small Architectural Projects.

COURSE DESCRIPTION The course exposes the students to the world of computer aided design (CAD) that has revolutionized the field Architecture in conceiving, visualizing and presenting architectural works and a: swings. Students will acquire CAD skills through lectures, presentations, and tutorials from the instructor which will be followed by practice secessions in computer lab. COURSE OBJECTIVES AND OUTCOMES

Students will be expected to understand CAD/Photoshop software interface and software capabilities.

Students will be expectcd to make 2-D architectural drawings (i.e. Plans, Sections, and Elevations). Students will be expected to make posters and renderings of CAD drawings using photo editing softwares.
