ARCHITEXTURE
structures and textural erosion By Allison Haugh
Textural Erosion
explores photography the contrast of decaying man-made materials, such as stone, sea-walls and other objects that have eroded and rusted naturally over time, marrying them with the textures of their natural environments: grasses, trees, spores, the salts of the earth. Some of the combinations bring out the rich warmth of textures, while others highlight aging beauty in materials in their natural environment
environment
the growth of the spores on the tombstone accent our ongoing relationship with our natural environment. The metal structure barely contrasts here, against the tree-lined background.
