Cyanide Continuous Flow Analyzer

Total Cyanides In Water (1)

Determines the sum of organically bound cyanides, free cyanides ions, complex compounds and simple bound metal cyanides Complex bound cyanide is decomposed at pH 3.8 by the effect of UV radiation (350nm, quartz coil) The resulting hydrogen cyanide is separated by inline distillation. Cyanides are transformed into cyanogen chloride (CNCl) with Chloramin T. CNCl reacts with 1, 3-dimethylbarbituric acid and Pyridin-4 carbonic acid, gives a red colored complex measured at 600nm.
