By default, DHCP is disabled in the modem Config PC network interface to 192.168.1.x with gateway 192.168.1.1

Check the software version, compared with the intended version to be upgraded. For eg, in this case, modem version is V100R001C01B017SP05

VLAN DEFAULT CONFIG

Go to Basic > WAN By default, there are 4 VLANs for voice (400), CCS (209), IPTV (600) & HSI (500) For V100R001C01B017SP05, no VLAN 209

b) Port binding

Select the LAN port bind to the WAN connection. It assigns the VLAN ID to the uplink packet, whereas it disposes the specific VLAN ID on downlink packet.

c) VLAN tagging

By enable VLAN tagging, it allows the VLAN packet pass through that are assigned on this port, so do it remains the VLAN ID for each packet to output to the LAN port.

EN/DS Enable

Disable

Functions Allows only specified VLAN pass to the LAN port and remains the VLAN ID of the packets in uplink and downlink. It works filtering the VLAN ID. The VLAN ID is assigned to the packet on uplink and disposes the VLAN ID on downlink according to the WAN connection applied by LAN port binding.

ATA CONFIGURATION Enable the DHCP transmission function for the target LAN port, for example: we use LAN2.

a) WAN connection Go to Basic > WAN > ptm1.400 Tick Port Binding, Bridge mode and VLAN tagging in LAN 2.

In advanced settings, for fax drop-down column, select G.711A fax passthrough17

Change the session timeout duration from 0s to 1200s.

MODEM UPGRADE PROCEDURE Choose Maintenance> Devices.

Select top toolbar Firmware Upgrade, it shows a whole new page.

- Click on Browse... and select the binary file that provided then click Open

- Click Software Upgrade and see this.

It is finished as you see this

It turns back to login interface after completed upgrade process.

- Login back to menu and check on Device information to check if the software version matched with the file you upgraded.

Restore default modem settings

Click OK

It turns back to login page then successfully finish restoring default configuration.

- Restoring default factory settings will erase the VOBB numbers

- Please reconfigure back the numbers for VOBB accordingly, eg as per slide 15.
