Trong cc chng trnh render cho 3dsMax, Vray l mt chng trnh c s dng ph bin nht. Hon ton khng phng i khi ni Vray ph bin n mc bng tng cc renderer khc nh mental ray, finalRender cng li. iu cng th hin r vi thut ton v nhn ca chng trnh c nghin cu hon thin
Tnh ph bin ca chng trnh c nhng nguyn nhn xc ng: -Th nht, VRay dng trong cc php tnh ca n phng php chuyn i tnh ton Trong phng din ny c th VRay c dng nh l 1 v d trnh din chng trnh theo phng php Monter-Carlo. -Ngoi ra, VRay c 1 lot i mi th v cc cng ngh x l, cung cp thm cho VRay nhng u th trong cht lng v tc tnh ton.

Nhim v c bn ca bt k chng trnh render no l tnh ton s chiu sng v mu sc ca mt im bt k ca khung cnh 3 chiu. Cc phng php tnh ton ca ha my tnh vt qua mt chng ng pht trin kh di, trc khi ngi ta t ti trnh nh ngy nay v hin thc ha cc bc nh bng s trnh din ca my tnh.
Sau khi chn Vray, n OK, bn s c bng F10 nh hnh sau Click vo Save as Defaults chn mc nh Vray cho cc bn Render sau ny. Sau bc trn, cc bn chn Vray lm phn render mc nh cho 3dsmax,by gi l phn hiu chnh cc thng s sao cho c mt bn Render t nh .
Th COMMON:
Cc thng s v kch thc bn v th cc bn t t theo mnh. Lu l ko t thng s qu ln, phng my render s chm tnh ton kch thc ren hp l,ly kch thc kh giy nhn 9
Th V-RAY: + Th Frame Buffer: Cc bn tch v Enable built-in Frame Buffer. Ty chn ny cho php bn hin li bc hnh va Render trc . Vi cc phin bn c ca Vray th ty chn ny nm trong thanh Render ca max vi tn gi: Show last Render
+ Th Global Switches: B du tch Defaulights trnh nh sng mc nh ca max nh hng ti vic t n v chiu sng sau ny, cho vic t n v kim sot nh sng chung c d hn. nh du vo Dont Render final image nu nh bn mun render ch test tch vo 2 Legacy sun v Use 3ds Max

Cc bn lm theo hnh hng dn di Subdiv cng cao th cng p, khi Render th th ch cn ~300500 l c. Render tht thng s khong 1000-1200, c th cao hn nu phn cng ca bn mnh. Khuyn co l khng nn vt qu 1500.

VRAY CAMERA
Vray camera c cc nh lp trnh to nn nhm m phng li mt my nh k thut s vi cc thng s chn thc nht. Bn nn chn Physical camera + Film grate (mm): kch thc ca film hoc cm bin, ci ny 35mm l full frame. + Focal length (mm): di tiu c. + Zoom factor: iu chnh t l phng to nh.

Vray v 3dsMax x l d liu ca mt bc nh trong mt mi trng khng gian tuyn tnh (Gamma 1.0) nhng hu ht cc loi mn hnh li mc nh hin th hnh nh vi Gamma 2.2 (sRGB), v c bn th n lm cho hnh nh cm gic b ti i mc d thc s khng phi ch no cng ti. Qu trnh x l ny gi nh rng bn ang xem hnh nh Gamma 1.0 thay v 2.2, tr khi bn khai bo kiu khc.

Cng nh hnh nh bn thn, TEXTURES v MATERIALS cng cn phi c chuyn i sang Gamma 2.2. Vo cutomize/preferences/Gamma and LUT. Thay i setting nh hnh di.

Cc tnh ton ca Vray khng b nh hng cc thit lp ca Gamma nhng n li lin quan ti u vo Gamma trong cc files Bitmap. Vy l thit lp xong Gamma 2.2 trong 3dsmax, gi chng ta thit lp trong bng setting vray v render vi VRay Frame Buffer.

Bc nh bn tri dng 1 nh bitmap lm hu cnh mi trng (inviroment). Cn bc nh bn phi dng Vray HDRI . chng ta co th nhn thy r rng nhng phn phn x ca vt th khi dng 1 map thng thng nhn ging nh l xuyn qua ch ko phi l phn chiu bu tri v d ta quay gc no render thi bu tri cng ging ht nhau.

1. M 3DS MAX
2. Nhn phm s 8 m bng bn chn map cho mi trng bng cch n vo ch none
3. Bng Material hin ra, bn chn cht liu l Vray HDRI .

4. Bn bm phm M m bng material nn ri sau d ko map t bng inviroment sang 1 cht liu bt k, 3Ds Max s hi 2 cht liu ny quan h vi nhau nh th no, bn chon Instance .

5. Tip trong bng Material ,bn chn nt browse v tm n ni lu file HDRI tip bn chn Spherical enviroment bn s c cht liu nh trong hnh

6. Bm F10 trong bng con Assign renderer,bn nhn vo (1) chn b render l Vray 1.5SP4
7. Tip theo chn sang th Renderer (1). Chn th con Vray environment (2) . bn tick chn on(3).
Tip bn ko cht liu (4) vo nh hnh v. Nh vy l hon tt qu trnh to bu tri bng Vray HDRI.
