Factors related to Climate Change

1. Increased temperature: Increasing level of temperature in the last few decades, data shows that average temperature has increased by 0.5oC during the last 35 years (Characteristics of annual average temperature in Da Nang) 2. Precipitation: Dry season rainfall is lower than annual average; number of rainy days increases notably, especially in rainy season. Maximum intensity also increases: Maximum daily high is 592.6 mm, on 3/11/1999, maximum hourly intensity 80.4mm, on 31/10/2007 3. Sea level rise: No available data on sea level rise in Da Nang City. According to NTP, sea level in Vietnam increases at an average rate of about 3 mm in the period from 1993 2008.

Conclusion
Action plan to respond to climate change and sea level rise in Da Nang city to enhance responsive capacity over the years 2011-2015, with orientation to 2020, in order to: Ensure that the community is resilient to climate change. Ensure that sectors and levels of authorities can direct and instruct the implementation of the action plan Enhance science and technology, and specific measures to respond to climate change. Integrate climate change responsive actions into socioeconomic development programs and plans. Promote international cooperation.
