ABOUT ALCATEL-LUCENT UNIVERSITY

Alcatel-Lucent University is a global network of 20 training centres that provides educational opportunities for employees and customers through face-to-face and online courses. The Universitys training environment supports current business needs by enabling employees and customers to continuously upgrade their skills and keep pace in todays competitive environment.

Alcatel-Lucent University (Lannion) is located on the Alcatel-Lucent France site in Brittany. As well as its main premises, Alcatel-Lucent University (Lannion) has 2 training branches in the Paris region: Marcoussis* & Ormes.

Over the last year, 55000 trainings days were provided to 9000 trainees from 80 different countries, by 80 trainers. We devote more than 50 % of our realizations for innovation and development of new training solutions in particular for e-Learning solutions

We have dedicated platforms equipped with multimedia network equipments, IP networks, fixed and mobile networks equipment, access and transmission networks equipments where the trainees can acquire a real practice. During their free time, the trainees enjoy surfing on the internet or contact their family by e-mail in the internet room.

Alcatel-Lucent University (Lannion) has been certified ISO 9001 since 1997 and now Version 2000. The trainers permanently renew their qualification and expertise on training methods, technical subjects and languages. The 6000 square meters offer 40 classrooms for traditional courses but also two videoconference-rooms and two multimedia classroom for distance course.

1. TRAINING PROPOSALS
Validity A training proposal remains valid for a period of two weeks during which the customer's formal agreement must be received. After this period, Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion reserves the right to reassign the committed resources without notification. Acceptance The customer must issue its formal acceptance in writing within the two-week period by returning the quotation signed and bearing the term "Accepted", or by e-mail. This acceptance relates to all the contract information in the proposal (course, location, dates, duration, price, number of trainees). Order - customers outside Alcatel-Lucent A purchase order must be sent to Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion at least three weeks before the beginning of the course. Confirmation is sent to the customer after receipt of the order. If the order is not received within the specified period, Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion reserves the right to cancel the training proposal. Order customers inside Alcatel-Lucent A budget number (section or OTP number) must be sent to Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion at least three weeks before the beginning of the course. A confirmation is sent to the customer after receipt of the budget number. If the budget number is not received within the specified period, Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion reserves the right to cancel the training proposal.

CANCELLATION TERMS*

Cancellation by the customer The customer may cancel an order without penalty up to three weeks (21 days) before the date on which the course begins. In the event of cancellation between three weeks (21 days) and one day before the date on which the course begins, a penalty of 75% of the fees will be billed, with a maximum of 15 days' fees for long term courses (courses over than 15 days). If there is no attendance at the beginning of the course, a penalty of 100% of fees will be billed, with a maximum of 15 days' fees for long term courses. Cancellation by Alcatel-Lucent University Lannion Alcatel-Lucent University Lannion may cancel or defer an OPEN course without compensation up to three weeks before the date on which the course begins..

PREREQUISITES AND OBJECTIVES

The trainees must have the level of prerequisite knowledge specified on the course data sheets. If there is too great a gap between the expected prerequisites and the actual level, Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion may have to propose a modification of the planned course. Trainees must have read the course data sheets and the objectives of the course before training begins. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the trainees receive the course data sheets. Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion cannot be held responsible for any discrepancy between what the trainees expect and the written objectives.

4.

LIABILITY

Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion provides supervision and assistance for the trainees attending courses given in its locations at Lannion, Marcoussis or Ormes, and certain specially requested services (meeting at the airport, local transport, etc.). The management and supervision of trainees outside course hours (evenings, weekends) are in no circumstances the responsibility of Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion. If a trainee or group of trainees should behave incorrectly, Alcatel-Lucent University - Lannion may be required to interrupt the service, without any compensation or allowance being payable to the customer.
