MAG-Net Anchors Retreat 2012

Vision Stands are a proclamation of your vision. Today, you will each take 5 minutes to proclaim the vision for media, justice, and MAG-Net in your region that you prepped.

Participants will group together and share their pre-written vision stands and use the guiding questions to sharpen and improve their vision stands Guiding Questions:

What is your regions vision for connecting media issues and social justice in your region over the next 1-3 years? Given your vision, what challenges and opportunities exist to building the network in your region? How can you work more effectively across region to help achieve your media justice movement building goals? What capacity building, collaborative fundraising and peer exchange strategies could you deploy to help achieve your goals?

Together, in their same broad region, participants will prepare a 5 minute Vision Stand to deliver in front of the group. These questions were distributed to each participant in advance of the retreat and each were asked to use them to craft their vision stance:

1) What is your regions vision for connecting media issues and social justice in your region over the next 1-3 years? 2) What recent successes help illustrate this vision? 3) How might you build out your chapter to achieve these goals? What concrete plans do you currently have, and what support do you need from your fellow anchors, and/or from CMJ?
