Primary data are original as these data are collected by the investigator himself. 2. The information obtained through primary data is more accurate. 3. In the collection of primary data there is the possibility of personal prejudice. 4. In the collection of such data more labour and capital is required because they are collected for the first time. 2) Lists the method of collecting Primary data Answer: - Methods of collecting primary data are: i) Direct personal interview method. ii) Telephone interview. iii) Indirect interview method. iv) Information through correspondents. v) Mailed questionnaire method. vi) Schedule sent through investigators. 3) What are different of methods or technique of collecting data? Answer: - The two methods or techniques of collecting data are: i) Census Method ii) Sample Method i) Census Inquiry Method:In Census method all the units associated with a particular problem are studied. This method is also called complete enumeration survey method. Census of population conducted every ten years is the most suitable example of the census method. ii) Sample Inquiry Method:Sample method in which data is collected about the sample on a group of item taken from the population for examination and conclusion are drawn on their basis. 4) What are Quantative Data and Qualitative data? Answer: - Quantitative datas are the information or observations which are recorded in numbers or quantity. For example, the number of people in a state who are strict vegetarians, heights or weights of students, everyday temperature, income of individuals, prices of wheat during this week etc. Qualitative datas are items which can be measured in percentages. It may be collected through questionnaire or opinion poll using landline or mobile Telephone, internet or newspaper. Secondary data 1. Secondary data are not original as the investigator obtain such data from some one else records. 2. The information obtained through secondary data is not perfectly correct. 3. In case of secondary data, there is no such possibility because such data have already been collected. 4. Secondary data are collected data. Hence no more capital and labour is required.
