Q5 When you think about the U.S. economy, what is your biggest worry?

Individual responses:

LOSING MY JOB AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SUPPORT MY CHILDREN I think they need to quit helping people overseas when there is people in the U.S. that needs help and can't get it. My whole outlook for the people of the U.S. is negative. The old saying is "the poor get poorer and the rich get richer". How true it is. "the current pricing of things will be higher inflation is hitting everything very hard everything will be going up in price sales are not like they used to be stores will try to make things look cheaper in price but is not really a sale" That it will only get worse and I'll have to completely change careers and go back to school to find a job. Also that expenses will continue to go up while employers use the economy as an excuse to pay less and give less benefits. "Obama is ruining this country. There are too many stupid people in this country who will likely re-elect him and seal the fate of a once great country. He promotes a welfare society with government making all the decisions. " The republicans! not helping the country. looking and helping the big companies survive while the rest of people suffer. What is skin have to do any thing with! to make the country be in better shape! GOP doing it purposely. there is no jobs at all i have no money and no way to pay for my bills and the things i really need it is super bad right now the is no money at all i am just trying to keep money in my pocket and i don't know how That the federal government will continue to make the same stupid moves after the next ellection because we (the people) are going to ellect the same type of stupid individuals...that's all that are running. Growth is stagnant, recession is near. The government just wants to increase taxes instead of balancing the budget. Employers won't be hiring anyone if they are just struggling like the rest of us.

It is okay but the Republicans are throwing in road blocks that make it more difficult to recover. Giving billions in subsidies to fossil fuel companies doesn't help us solve the budget crises. Jobs going overseas, dependence on foreign oil, manufacturing jobs a thing of the past. Taxes connection with ObamaCare. Reduction in Military spending. These are just the tip of the Ice burg. getting the people in congress to work together. they are part of the problem as to why the economy has not improved they have voted against or slowed bills that would have helped. I worry it will stay stagnant, like it is now. If it gets worse, then it will cause people to act, and so be better. If it stays how it is, then it will simply continue to be bad. taxing anything and everything just so the government can pay their bills and to heck for us little people making any money to pay our own bills/taxes to pay theirs A congress and senate and all politicians who are so concerned with their own re election and enrichment that they are saying the hell with the rest of the country The loss of manufacturing and other good honest jobs that used to be the backbone of this country. It seems that the middle class is more and more disappearing. Greed and inappropriate spending. Use resources for infrastructure to take care of already in place local and state medical, food, and protection programs. "My biggest worry is the idiot progressives in both parties that are growing government and debt. The country will not survive if they are not stopped" The cost of health care for our senior citizens. Insurance companies and drug companies run this country and they are running many people into poverty. Everything is of signifcant importance, but jobs might help some of it, healthcare, jobs, environment, crime, morals etc.....and many more is in danger the failed presidency of obama. leftists in congress, liberalism run amok, liberalism is a mental disorder. obama policies are destroying the economy. Gas price going up. There is no job or very little. Pay for job a to low. We need a change we need to go back to the 90's. Things where much better. That the republicans will get all 3 branches of the government and there will be no more middle class, only the very rich and then everyone one else. Freebies for illegals. I'm tired of my tax money supporting non-citizens. They do nothing but commit crime while I work my ass off to support them. Another economic recession if Mitt Romney wins the presidential election. I worry history might repeat itself if a republican were in office again.. That an activist government will sink it. What the economy needs is a predictable future, not one in which the rules change seemingly by the week. personally, as my income is so low as to be ridiculous, i have no worries about the country's economy - i'm making it without all the extras now. people not being able to contribute to the economy because there are no jobs; who will be contributing? because so far, they not doing it now

that the idiot in charge really will cripple the infrastructure of capitalistic activity so badly that we will be third world for generations Affordable health care for everyone and jobs going overseas. I'm a strong believer in American-made and unions. Everyone gets a fair share sucks because of president.worried moreaabout illega limmegrants being allowed medical n such n not worring about the legals residents. That the Obama administration will continue to mess with the economy and block reforms rather than actually try to fix anything. Grossly disparate incomes between "average" workers and folks like CEOs, combined with reprehensible practices in "big business." That the older people will not have the money to be able to get their medicines, food and fuel and money to pay there bills. my husband losing his job, us having to move, never being able to pay off bills on time, or house going into forclosure Too many people on the dole of some sort. The U.S. cannot sustain that spending as the deficit gets bigger and bigger. that the republicans will take over the government and reduce women to second class citizens as they were 100 years ago That Obama will win again and taxes will skyrocket because of Obamacare and because he won't renew the Bush tax cuts. The way gas prices fluctuate around so much. I think part of fixing the economies problems lies within this problem. The government is too enmeshed in corporations and businesses, telling them what they can or can't or shouldn't do. I worry that the republicans will win the congress and keep Obama from doing the good thngs that need to be done. aliens-people need to become citizens and pay taxes-too many free loaders taking advantage of our country!!!!!!! out of control govt. spending and control 14,000 pages and counting of new infringements on American lives. that it takes too long to get out of it and the current young generation really becomes a lost generation The people in Washington cutting back on services to the citizens at a time when it isn't wise to do so. Lack of job creation as unemployment benefits and welfare and other social programs receive funding cuts Taxes and stagnation in goods produced in US due to NIMBY American attitudes and environmental paranoia Lower and lower salaries due to companies not earning profit and consumers not having as much to spend. That congress will attempt tax relief for the upper echelon which will put us back into a depression.

Nothing, I dont worry about anything because every day I learn something new, im ready for the future The Republicans winning control of the white house and congress and taking us back towards disaster unemployment rates are not going down and there bare no job opportunities. Jobs are stiil overseas. Our still relatively high unemployment rate and the continuing failure of the U.S. housing market! My biggest worry is that Mitt Romney will be elected president -- what a disaster that will be. the instability and poor performance of so many aspects of the economy-jobs real estate, stocks War and poverty issues and problems of the world economic crisis which is so affect our lives Spending too much on "defense" when the money could be used for services, infrastructure, etc. What our childrens future will hace waiting for them to solve or suffer because of the present Out of control government spending, federal debt, and the potential collapse of the dollar. republicans taking control and totally screwing stuff up for everyone except the super rich Obama is spending too much of our money on wastefull entitilements to attract votes. It will continue to get worse even though it has been tanking for the last 10 years. Government spending on war, bailing out Wall Street and helping foreign nationals.
