NETfon, besides ensuring S@EIPX, S@Ekey and InstantOffice traditional features, leads to the world of telecommuting. You can work at home or everywhere you are, and have access to all services offered by the PBX as if you were in your office. In a multibranch company using an Intranet, the IP phone enhances the system scalability by connecting to existing LAN ports. In addition to this, NETfons integrated switch allows you to share the same LAN port with your office computer. NETfon can also be directly interfaced to the PBX integrated processor and exploiting all its features just through a connection to the LAN port. In front of you there is a multifunction and multi-line telephone terminal that can interact with all other SELTATEL analog and digital telephones. A powerful integrated microprocessor controls the voice management (codification/decodification, compression, echo suppression, silence detection) and implements the QoS standard protocols, ensuring a high level of voice quality. A standard VoIP protocol and the capability to download the new software releases through FTP allow NETfon to supply customers with more advanced features. NETfon is simple and easy-to-use thanks to its programmable function keys, loudspeaker, and displayed information: called number, caller ID (number and name), call duration, date, time and number of pulses. It can be simply programmed partly locally and partly remotely. With its configurable functions and display with adjustable inclination and contrast, NETfon meets the needs even of the most demanding users.

Telecommuting Thanks to an IP telephone and a small router, whose address can be configured on the same IP terminal, users can have access to their corporate Intranet just browsing the Internet. This is called telecommuting. In fact, NETfon exploits all the PBX features as if it was physically connected to it, thanks to broadband networks which can support high volumes of data traffic. Furthermore, the proliferation of data network providers offers cost-effective solutions much more economical than traditional PSTN connections. In this way, the corporate WAN (VPN over the Internet, dedicated lines, Frame Relay, etc) and the SELTATEL PBX can be easily reached by the remote LAN through a router. This solution ensures a high level of scalability and is particularly advantageous for companies with multiple branches.
