Our History
In 1932, Mantey and Norma Butterfield along with their eight children traveled from Roberts, Wisconsin to Hanson Massachusetts to open their first at Zero High Street named Butterfield's Ice Cream Parlor. Through the years they opened two other restaurants named the Indian Head Grille ant the Pine Bawer. It wasn't until 1976 did Barbara Danner (Butterfield) decide to open Butterfields Family Restaurant located on Union Street in Rockland and then later to move to the present location at 372 Market Street (Rt. 123) in Rockland where they have been for the past 30 years.
In June of 2011 the family decided to purchase another restaurant located a1 1486 Main Street in Hanson, Massachusetts which will be named The Meadow Brook Restaurant. The Butterfield family looks forward to continue serving all of our loyal customer and good friends for many years to come...
