Course Description: The course aims at the presentation and practice of language at the elementary level of proficiency for communicating simply about everyday occurrences and concerns. Emphasis is on acquiring relevant vocabulary and building communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students will participate in class on Skype and use the OIEL learning platform for supplemental learning material, assignment submission, and tests. Course Requirements: Reading Assignment The reading material will be post on the first day of the week. You are required to pre-read your reading assignment before join our live and speaking class Live Speaking and Listening Class We have classes on OIEL leaning platform and Skype on Tuesday and Saturday at 20:00 (GMT+7); therefore, you must make sure to convert to your local time correctly. There will be assignments for writing and pronunciation every week. Therefore, you re required to submit them by the end of the week. Listening Test: The listening test will be published weekly and there will be no more than 10 questions and should be completed before taking another week. Learning Journal The Learning Journal is a tool for self-reflection on the learning process. In addition to completing directed tasks, you should use the Learning Journal to document your activities, record problems you

may have encountered. The Learning Journal should be updated regularly (on a weekly basis), as the Learning Journals will be assessed by your instructor as part of your final grade.
