Nara Eco Park: location

In a very picturesque location on the river Nara, on the 56th km of Moscow-Simferopol highway and only 12 km from the new boundaries of the Greater Moscow, Nara Eco Park with the total building area of 20 hectares will be constructed. The main idea is to blend an eco-park and resort village built for the purpose, promoting ecological way of living in a harmony with nature and a healthy lifestyle. For the purpose, we plan to implement and actively use pioneering and most innovative energy-saving technologies (such as geothermal heating), eco-materials (e.g., papercrete), and location-conscious infrastructure. The village will be built in a historical place. Both Ray-semenovskoe village (originally - Ray, that stands for Paradise in Russian), famous for its noble estate in the style of Italian villas with a fine church by Matvei Kazakov, a world-reknown Russian neoclassical architect, and a former Catherine II palace are in the immediate vicinity of the Nara Eco Park.

Nara Eco Park: main features

Ideologically Nara Eco Park general plan is divided in few different zones - a resedintial area; a visitors area with eco-hotel, tree guesthouse and vegetarian restaurant; a communal area providing various health, arts, sports and activities facilities and amenities. One of the distinguishing features of the village living resort will be an artificial geothermal lake, 60 m in diameter with running water flowing from the river Nara that will be warm all year round (Japanese style onsen/hot spring spa). Adjacent to the lake there will be also a health centre specialized in alternative medicine, such as Tibetan and Chinese, run by well-known experts in the fields and banya (traditional Russian sauna) complex. There are plenty of other attractions - both for the residents and the visitors will be provided, to mention just a few - an alternative school, an animal farmyard, a sculpture park, Nara riverbank beach with cafe and relaxation facilities. And, of course, the natural beauty of the setting and it surroundings, rich in cultural and historical context, is one of the main attractors that will compliment Nara Eco Park in an organic and harmonious manner and outline the idea and concept of the project.
