Indian Medical Tourism Story reaches new heights in Africa through the IMTD Ind ia Medical Tourism Destination

Presenting the IMTD Indian Medical Tourism Destination 2012 Kenya and Tanzania to be held on the 26-31 August organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Co mmerce and Industry and co-organized by Trident Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd , the first ever initiative to bring India on the international front of marketing it as a global healthcare destination which s already in the becoming. IMTD : India Medical Tourism Destination is a conference and exhibition show, th e first of its kind in India, which is solely dedicated to increasing the impact of the Indian Healthcare Industry across the world. The Exhibition and Conferen ce is in its third year and has already made a mark successfully in countries li ke Canada, Kenya, Oman and Kuwait during the course of the last three years. The niche event has already brought together regional government and the medical an d private healthcare sectors to develop business contacts and establish new part nerships and investment. Providing significant opportunities for international h ospitals, medical tourism facilitators and tour and travel agents, IMTD has prov ided a unique platform for these institutions to take India a step further on th e international level. With participating Hospitals like , Fortis, Medanta, Asian Heart Institute, Apol lo Hospitals, Manipal Hospitals, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Kerala ins titute of Medical sciences, Seven Hills Hospital, Global Hospital to name a few, the event will attract all the medical stakeholders of Kenya and Tanzania. Ho listic health organizations , Ministry of Commerce bodies, and export promotion councils also have been a part of IMTD. There has been by far participation of over a 100 hospitals in all the IMTD shows so far out of which there were 10-15 medical tourism facilitators, participation from government bodies like Departme nt of AYUSH, Surgical Tourism Canada and the Services Export Promotion Council t o name a few. The event will draw the attention of the whole medical fraternity of Kenya and T anzania thus adding to the ever burgeoning medical tourism industry which is exp ected to reach $ 2 billion by the end of this fiscal year.
