Marsa Nakari Village

Marsa Nakari is a charming village just 40 km south of Marsa Alam city. Its main appeal is its proximity to the Sammadai protectorate (Dolphin House); one of the Red Seas most important national parks. The coral reef topography of this precious site and the dolphins that inhabit its lagoon are one of the southern Red Seas most popular attractions. We offer exclusive access to this beautiful site from Marsa Nakari by day boat, as well as other attractions including the Wadi el Gemal national park. Marsa Nakari is also an important historical site dating back to Roman times; known to the ancients as the port of Nechesia. The remains of its ruin are still present atop a hill towards the southern end of the bay. Tent: standard twin occupancy tent with electricity outlet. Communal bathroom facilities are in the vicinity.

Eco- diving Programs

RSDS provides an opportunity for its guests to participate in our interactive and scientifically based eco-diving programs. Eco-diving is a term we coined to describe an environmentally friendly and educative diving experience. In the workshops our guests can discover the bio-diversity of the Red Seas marine life and its reef eco-systems in their natural setting, thereby heightening their awareness and encouraging their participation in conservation. We offer a range of workshops such as Shark School, Reef Check, Marine Biology, Videography & Photography.i Shark School During Shark School participants will learn about the behavior of various shark species and techniques for interacting safely with them while diving. The course was developed by Dr. Erich Ritter and is conducted over 4 days with dives on Elpinstone & lectures.i Marine Biology Our marine biology workshops are ideal for divers who have an interest in marine biology and ecology. They provide the diver an opportunity to explore the underwater realm in the expert hands of our workshops leaders.i Reef Check Reef Check is the worlds largest international coral reef monitoring organization. In the company of our Reef Check scientist, Mr. Stephan Moldzio, amateur divers can identify indicator species which enables them to contribute to international coral reef research.i Video & Photography These workshops are designed for amateur underwater videographers and photographers. Whether your interest is in the wonderful world of macro or the capture of stunning reef reliefs, the Red Sea provides the perfect backdrop. Workshops expertise is provided by media gurus such as Jeff Goodman & Alex Tattersall.i
