PRODUCTION NOTES

experience Sebastian learned from books he had read about the television and film industry. Taking the advice he had read, he wrote two scripts and began soliciting Hollywood Film & Television agents. No agents expressed any interest in a reality series about homelessness. Undeterred, Sebastian then began to solicit film crew who actually worked on several high profile reality series by gathering their information listed in the credits of the various television shows he had researched.

PRE-PRODUCTION: With no professional film

His script landed in the inbox of Eric Bush, a Hollywood actor who has appeared on the television series, Everybody Hates Chris and appeared in a film with William Forsythe. Eric is also a film producer and after reading Sebastians script, he felt compelled to help bring the homeless message to light through film. Next Eric assembled a film crew and became the Producer along with his partner Jaleel Ghafur. days. Initially, the film shoot was only planned to film footage to produce a 6 minute sizzle reel. Sebastian was fortunate enough to have a very talented, dedicated and hard- working team that shared his passion and worked overtime to produce enough footage for a complete half hour pilot episode.

PRODUCTION: Americas Homeless Uncensored pilot episode was shot in only two and a half

Homeless Need a Network was filmed by noted public access director and producer, Jim Seawright. He filmed Sebastian over the course of three days in his small apartment as Sebastian vividly narrated his journey in and out of homelessness. Additionally, Jim filmed several interviews on location at the San Jose City Hall Building and InnVision homeless shelter. Outdoor scenes were filmed at remote locations consisting of: private properties, underneath bridges, abandoned buildings and river banks where hundreds of homeless residents live. Award winning editor Karyne Holmes. Her provocative story telling through editing has given the documentary a spirit that reflects her passion for people and creative projects. Blare Medias high quality video productions are also exhibited in the pilot episode and documentary. Jason Wada and Justin McAleece post-work included audio & color correction and editing. Homeless Need A Network has been an amazing experience for everyone involved: crew, cast, volunteers and family. We hope you enjoy watching this film as much as we did creating it.
