    This is Getty's response to my lawyer requesting proof of their claim so that negotiations can continue. My lawyer offered for us both to sign confidentiality agreements stating we would not discuss, disclose or disseminate any information Getty provides to us except with Getty for the purposes of reaching a settlement. Getty compliance specialist Douglas Bieker replied back stating he still could not provide proof of claim unless Getty were to sue me because it costs too much money and takes too much time to provide this information. What is interesting about this I have copies of complaints filed with the Washington State Atty. Gen.'s office and as in Getty's response to my complaint they always say they cannot provide proof of claim due to confidentiality agreements with the artists.

As previously mentioned to your client, the requested articles - such as proof, registrations and representation would be furnished only when compelled by the court through the course of discovery. To provide this information beforehand would take additional time as well as additional costs. Our settlements are set up to quickly close unauthorized use cases. If cases were to go to legal proceedings, our represented photographer would have a registration prior to filing.
