EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Participated in Annual English Day and Sinhala Day Competitions, and won prices several times. Represented Ave Maria Convent for Dictation Competition up to all Island level obtaining the 3rd place in Provincial level in 1996. Participated in the drama Pied Piper for the all Island Drama Competition representing Ave Maria Convent and won the 3rd place. Completed Pianoforte and Music Theory exams up to grade 8 at the Institute of Western Music and Speech (IWMS) and won all Island prices for Pianoforte Grade 1 in 1990 and Music Theory Grade 8 in 2000. Have a good ability in playing the piano and the organ. Completed Elocution, Speech and Drama exams up to Grade 5 at the Institute of Western Music and Speech (IWMS) and won the all Island price for Written English Grade 3 in 1995. Represented De Mazenod College for the Chemistry Quiz Competition in 2001. Member of the relay team of the house and participated in many athletic meets at Ave Maria Convent up to under 15.
