Grammar Point #1 - Consecutive Actions with Go and Come - -7I/5I
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This grammatical phrase contains the particle -, which is used to link consecutive actions
in a sentence. This particle is translated as "and." The verbs "to go" (7I) and "to come"
(5I) are used quite frequently in conjunction with the particle -. When used with these
verbs, this grammatical pattern can be translated as "(Verb), and go," or "(Verb) and come."
-----------------------------
' Construction
-----------------------------
(Verb Stem) + 7I/5I
7I(jada) - to sleep
7(ja) - verb stem
7+ 7I/5I
77. - Sleep and go (sleep over).
7M. - Sleep and come.

There is an exception when using this grammatical pattern. When using this pattern with the
verb "to go," 7I, as the initial verb, it cannot be constructed as it would typically be con-
structed. The phrase "to go and come" is ;I5I(gatda oda). This cannot use the con-
struction that is typically used.

(o) =J9;I5I(go to school and come)

Grammar Point #2 - At Least - -F
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-F(-rado) is a particle which can be translated as "at least," or "even if it's just...." lt is at-
tached to the end of nouns. The noun that this particle -F(-rado) is attached to is what is
"at least." A verb is not necessary, but a complete sentence usually conveys a full complete
idea, whereas having (noun)Fwould require some inference from the listener.
