African American Mental Health Providers Directory for California Residents
As a component of the California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP) African American Population Report, we have created a valuable resource that can be used to identify professional ethnic mental health service providers of African ancestry living in California. The African American Mental Health Providers Directory for California Residents is a compilation of over 200 African American mental health professionals. The directory is listed in alphabetical order by practitioners in each region, and includes a description of their clinical expertise, and contact information. We realize there are more African American mental health practitioners in California that are not listed. We conducted due diligence in attempting to obtain information for this directory. To complete this directory, we inquired about information on licensed mental health providers by ethnicity from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, state professional associations, surveys and wordof-mouth. Practitioners listed responded with their contact information by the time of the publication of this directory. Information contained in this directory was compiled by the following CRDP Strategic Planning Workgroup (SPW) members:
