We two students belonging to faculty of Electronics and Communication Engineering have prepared this project entitled Voice Transmission Through Optical Fiber as per the need of the syllabus of the 4th year second semester. During the project development we found this very project based on optical fiber identification very useful, output oriented and could be used over a wide range of applications. We would like to offer our deepest gratitude to the Department of Electronics and Communication for providing such a pleasant opportunity that readily made us indulge in research oriented and practical activities. Especially we cannot forget to thank our project supervisor Asst. Prof. Ganesh Adhikari who guided us in the crucial hours of the project classes and taught us to cope with every difficulty. It will also be a great dishonor to forget the help and support of the lab assistants and we also expect such help from them in coming days.

Abstract
The project voice transmission through optical fiber is a system analogous to the public switched telephone system with optical as transmission media.

It works similar to how sound in landline telephone carries out from source to destination. Here actual data transmitting data is digital rather than analog, however the sound signal are analog to naturally .So analog to digital conversion of sound signal is first carried out and stored at source microcontroller then is modulated and converted into digital light signal, Optical receiver at destination side receives the signal, demodulates it and finally convert back into analog form.
