HOW TO INSTALL ANFANI EHR


nfn EHR is an easy-to-use and basic electronic health records for hospitals and health establishments. The nfn EHR project is a Drupal distribution and will be deployed in a LAMP environment.

General Installation Procedures


1. Generally this software will install on any server suitable for Drupal 6. 2 To install ,upload to your server , Create a new MySQL database on your server,and commence as you would installing Drupal 6 .

Checklists:
a.Check file and folder permissions b. Make sure that you have created a new settings.php file in sites/default folder 3. Choose "Anfani" as the profile to install

4. Always install on a clean database with no other Drupal installation on it. Otherwise your data will be overwritten. 5. The installation does not support database table prefixes. 6. Conclude the installation process. At the end of installation, the finished Anfani EHR profile will be automatically initiated and you should see the following screen.

Using your EHR


When your EHR is set up you are logged in as administrator. Apart from this role there are 5 other users already made available as follows: Username : user1 Username : user2 Username : user3 Username : user4 Username : user5 Password : userone Password : usertwo Password : userthree Password : userfour Password : userfive

You must log in and edit these accounts at once else your records may not be safe. Otherwise allocate these user accounts and ask the users to log in and change their password details or username or both. This EHR is a Drupal distribution,therefore as an admininistrator , and with knowledge of how to administer Drupal, you may create further users, delete users and make global changes to the EHR.

Adding Patients
To add new patient record, click Add New Patient tab at the top. It will show you a tabbed form as follows:

To add data corresponding to each section of the records form (Demographics, medical history, examination , investigations, treatment and appointments ,) just click on the corresponding tab inside the form at the top. The entire form permits you to add keted data as well as images, documents (including scanned records, audio and video. Do not forget to click SAVE at the bottom of the page.

Editing Patients' Records


To edit a patients record , just find the patient's page , look for the Edit tab at the top and click on it. All the records fields now become open for editing. After editing, remember to save your changes by clicking Save at the bottom.

Adding Physicians' Notes


Physicians' notes can be progressively added to the patient's page. Every new note (Comments) will bear the date and the name of the physician adding the note

Finding Specific Patient


To find a specific patient , click on the List Patients link at the top. This will show you a list of all the patients in the system database. Now either enter the patient's name (or part of it) or hospital registration number in the form at the top and click the Apply button. A list of all the patients matching that detail will be displayed . Click the name of the patient will take you to the record page for that patient

Appointments
Appointments are directly added on the patient's page.

When you click the Appointments link at the top, you will find all appointments listed in order , and the most recent apponitments are listed at the top. To find appontments for a specific date, you need to scroll down to that day.

General Housekeeping
Computers often fail unfortunately , and servers get hacked . Always make frequent backup of your database. This will enable you quickly recover your system in the event of a bad accident
